[ no surprises here, because she's new to this place as well. she comes to stand behind him to observe quietly for a moment. ]

Fishing in winter, must act slowly. Everything is slowed by the cold.

I've been sitting there all day. If they're not biting, then I don't really care. It's just something to tide me over since everyone else is in these ridiculous happy go lucky spirits.

There is particular strategy in fishing in wintertime. If you spend your time fishing, it is beneficial to at least strive for the most promising results.

What does that involve, diving deeper and hunting them? They're fish; they're fairly stupid as it gets.

I'm thinking about messing some stuff up during the holidays. Maybe provide some harmless fun.

I take it you're interested then.

Got any ideas? I'm debating a little rough and tumble, some tearing up of presents, whatever floats your boat.

I take it nothing's biting. Ah-have you explored the city already?

I've been around. Nothing of any interest here, unfortunately.

What possible interest could I have there? Couple of movies, people all angry when you interrupt their fun.

[She stood and watched him from afar for a while before approaching him. Once she caught wind of his anti-christmas spirit, she spoke.]

You don't enjoy the Christmas spirit?

Hardly. Too many people running around, spreading cheer and making a big deal out of absolutely nothing. I don't see why you need a holiday for that.

Well, I think it's wonderful. Everyone could always use more cheer.

[He can't help but scowl at that.]

No. Not me. I'm content without any extra cheer.

Because I'm required to be nice. Now where's the fun in that?

You can still have fun...

I have fun. Just not in the same manner as everyone else. Sharing presents and playing nice just isn't my cup of tea.
