[ Aimed at the Masquerade Goers; ]

Get home safe, everyone.

[ Dovetailing into something aimed at Every Visitor in Splendor; ]I'd like to call some meeting of minds together to discuss what we have and haven't learned about Splendor in the last few weeks. As convenient as the Hall has been, I'm thinking we might want to try choosing some other ( Read more... )

One of the castles sounds best. Whatever's closest to Metropolis might be helpful, since it is a trek to get out there. We'll have to keep in mind that getting into town from the Alpine district might mean making provisions to let people stay overnight at other places, or even the castle itself, depending on how long our discussions go on.

[ She humms a little, her way of showing that she's listening and considering Aqua's words. ]

There has to be something around Splendor that can help with putting together what we do know into a form that'll help out the newest arrivals when they're brought to the Hall. Satisfactory or not, you're right. Information being out there is more important than no information getting out there at all.

Thank you for offering, by the way. I'll take you up on that, if you don't mind.

CLEANEST CONVERSATION EVER haruno November 1 2010, 02:29:37 UTC
If you can ask everyone, I'd appreciate it. Once we have a set location, everyone can help stock supplies to make it less of a stress on the people who live there full-time.

The stores in Metropolis -- finding the materials isn't a problem. Does anyone here know passing cartography, that you know of?

Sure. We can talk, just you and me. Tell me when.

ACTION; is that the more socially acceptable hulk smash? haruno October 31 2010, 16:01:25 UTC
[ There's a moment where Sakura's genuinely surprised; not at the presence, so much, but by their choice to speak. It flashes acrossherface, along with their choice in words -- intel -- and she turns toward them, smiling in the same subdued fashion that had plagued her toward the end of the "ball." ]

I intend to.

[ It's just looking at the other woman that gives Sakura temporary pause, like there's an echo of something familiar she should be seeing, but isn't. She'd been curious about this at the ball, but... she squared off with the new(er) arrival, making her body posture read as open as she could manage. ]

It is intel, at this point. Actual information is limited; information about Splendor, that is. You can find some books in here about other worlds, but next to nothing on the history of this one.

[ She nods her head up toward the Library's closed doors. ]I've been talking with one of the other visitors about setting up a more permanent meeting room in one of the Castles. It's a trek, but if we're good about letting ( ... )

That's the general idea. Right now we're thinking of taking over one of the castle rooms as a meeting area. What're your thoughts on that?

In a certain theory.

[ If Splendor is anything close to sentient, location is probably not going to matter; but that's something she'd rather bring up at the meeting than inflict on others as early paranoia. ]

Mulberry's been the name tossed up. If I remember correctly, it's also one of the ones closer to the Metropolis district, which cuts down on some travel time for people living in the other districts. Not much, but convenience can come down to the little things.

Those would be really useful! Maybe we can make it something we can hand out to everyone who arrives? A guide -- is that what you call it? I'm at the city hall everyday, so it won't be a problem.

A guide, yes -- at the least an information write up, with what little we do know. I'm sure there's some technology around here that can help make it easier to replicate one, once we've figure out what to put into it.

Oh, um. [ think, think ] I always tell people about how they get here first, then the key and seal, then the districts, and then how and where they can get food and other necessities. Ah, but I'm sure there's a lot more information I'm missing... We can add other important landmarks as well?

Sounds like we're coming back around to the usefulness of a map. The City Hall's important if for no reason other than being where people arrive. The places for basic necessities -- we can mark down a few of those, too.

I am not a master healer, but I know my way around injury.

[He's not doing this out of kindness from the bottom of his "heart"... But information is more willingly shared with those people view as 'allies', not to mention resources and skills.]

This information meeting intrigues me as well...

Thank you, sir. Do you mind explaining to what degree?

[ Networking. Most the smart ones get down to it eventually, no matter their, ah, personal agendas. ]

At the least, it will be a place for people to discuss theories and speculations. With enough heads and perspectives put together, we'll be covering more ground than we would relying on just what any single one of us knows. In theory.

We're thinking about converting one of the rooms in a castle over to a meeting area, to get around the city-wide lockdown in the evenings. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions, as far as that's concerned?

I know basic first aid, along with Cure spells. It is not my specialty, but I was a scientist quite familiar with the human body. I also have military training and experience, so I know how to patch grievous wounds in combat situations.

It sounds as if you are organized well enough. If anything comes to mind, I shall let you know. Is there anyone who would find more pleasure in disrupting these meetings or turning against you? I am still new to this place.

I can hope experience like that won't be necessary. Thank you for telling me as much.

[ Sakura pauses. It sounds as if you are organized well enough. More credit than she expected -- or wanted. This was organized? ]

Kefka might, though I could be doing him a disservice. If it was more amusing to interrupt, I can see him wanting to do so. He'd have to care in the first place. As to anyone else... I don't know. Not yet, anyway.
