[For those of you in Splendor already, you'll probably have noticed the spooky decor the city has donned throughout the past week. With nothing else of of notice to be mentioned, it seemed like everything was just going to be a repeat of last year

[Rapunzel looks around. It's strangely familiar, yet a little more comforting in some ways in that she was more aware of her surroundings. The Entranceway. She had been about to leave with Eugene, about to go home, to her real parents when she had found herself here, the Pegasus mysteriously disappeared. Her trademark 70 feet of long blonde hair cut short and now a dark brown.]

Splendor....

[seethelanterns]

It is, huh.

[ombrasolare]

Oh, most definitely. You seem to have made a few changes. [Motioning to her hair, which is considerably depleted from last time] This is the least of them.

[seethelanterns]

Oh. Yeah. [Brushing a hand through the much shorter and choppier locks.] Eugene cut it for me.

[ombrasolare]

Out of curiosity. What did he use?

[seethelanterns]

A shard of glass from a broken mirror. It was the closest thing he could reach at the time and--well, he couldn't be too obvious with Mother there.

[ombrasolare]

My, my. This sounds like quite the story. [But...he remembers their previous conversations and his own silent conclusions] What did your mother do about that?

[seethelanterns]

It...I guess you could say that. But, Mother....wasn't too thrilled. She tried to stop it, gather up my hair as it lost it's power. All those years I kept her looking young, it all reversed, and she fell from the window of the tower.

[ombrasolare]

[Whispered, to himself] It's so easy to forget about that side of a fairy tale.

And what about Eugene? Is he...?

[seethelanterns]

What? Oh--Eugene....he's okay. I managed to save him after he cut my hair. [Somehow. She's still not entirely sure how it happened or why. But she won't complain.]

[ombrasolare]

[Oh well, at least he was only stabbed, not blinded like in the original story] Ah. So things seem to have...worked themselves out, somewhat.

[seethelanterns]

For the most part, yeah. [What is this blinding you speak of, Rapunzel doesn't need to know that. D:]

[ombrasolare]

[He is carefully not mentioning it] So what are you going to do now that you're back here?

[seethelanterns]

I'm not sure....I guess it would depend how long? I'd rather not leave Eugene and going to meet my parents too long. For now though, I guess I just want to catch up with everyone.

[ombrasolare]

It seems it will just be something quick. Though... [Gestures to Pascale and Leon] They seem to be gossiping.

[seethelanterns]

Oh, I see....[A giggle.] I'm glad Pascal found a new friend.
