01 ↝ Arrival {action}

[When Francis comes to, he’s in a similar position as he was before arriving to Splendor, seated at a sidewalk café. There’s a large cup of coffee, black with sugar, on the table with him. He’s clutching an erotic novel opened to page 213 which is conveniently his page. The signs that something is horribly awry simply are not there. Not to any ( Read more... )

Privjet Frantsiya. [Yes, that is a sudden Russia standing next to you. Didn't hear him approach? Well, that's nothing out of the ordinary is it? That said he's in a surprisingly not crazy mood and simply nods his head in greeting.]

[Jolts a bit, not because the man is being creepy but he certainly was unexpected. Silent. Well, he was rather quiet for such a tall boy... Looking up with wide eyes he nodded back just enough to be noticeable.]

You nearly gave this old man a heart attack. Sit down, sit down... [Francis took a few deep breaths before his nerves smoothed out a bit and he reached for his coffee which was surprisingly warm for having sat out so long. Curious, but he still drank from it as he eyed the man over his cup]

I did not mean to be rude. It is good to see such a familiar face in such a confusing situation. You wouldn't happen to know where exactly we are, would you? [He's trying not to sound too hopeful. Probably failing.]

I apologize, I did not mean to startle you.

[That said he settles in a chair and relaxes with a nod.]

Da, this place is called Splendorocity. I just arrived myself so I'm certain others are more knowledgeable but I do know a little bit about it.

Quoi? Splendorocity?

[He seems baffled and looks around once more, leaning in, pale brows knit together]

Did Amerique build another theme park and drug us so we would actually come look at it? [Huffing under his breath he leaned back and crossed his arms, glancing at his companion]

I have seen many strange things in my day, cher, but this ah--oh. Takes the cake, am I right? I am so confused.

[He laughs] Nyet, Nyet, This is not one of Amerika's theme parks. Though he's here as well, by the way.

[There's a mischievous little glint in his eyes as he leans forward.] Apparently this place grants wishes.

[He still thinks this is some strange bastard child of Dollywood and Disney Land Paris, both of which are horrifying, impinging cases of public damnation. And Francis would know about public damnation.

Francis frowned at that, lips quirking up after in a confused movement between amused and disastrously close to a mental breakdown]

If this place grants wishes and Amerique is here where are the fireworks and bombast that boy likes to bring along in his wake? [This is Francis' way of being fond in regard to the American, trust me.] Who is saying such things, hm?

Apparently Amerika has been here since March, so I assume he's gotten the brunt of it out of his system by now. [Then he smirks, resting his chin in his palm.] Canada. We had a nice little talk, the two of us.

Oh, that explains that fine enough. [shrugs, eying the man across from him. Who seemed rather pleased, really...] Russie, you and I know that stating things in such a way sounds positively scandalous. [a beat] No kissing and telling, however I would love to know all the details outside of that.

[It's France. He's going to assume. /thankstothemunthatenjoysruscanofcourse]

[He's definitely got a 'cat that's caught the canary' look on his face, if only to mess with France.] Why, I didn't know you cared about scandalous sounding statements.

[But he's just gonna go along with that, amused at the assumption.]

[Half of him is guessing that Russia is just playing with him to raise his hackles, but it's not enough to keep the man's lips pursing slightly] Russie, when did you become such a fiend? You were such a lovely boy when you were younger...

[A glimmer of a playful smile is on his lips] Old age will do that to a man, I suppose~

Probably around the time you got your hands on me, Frantsiya. [He offhandedly remarks. He's thoroughly enjoying messing with France, its been far too long.]

[snickers a bit at that.] Talk about fond memories... [AWKWARD TEEN FANBOY RUSSIA WAS THE BEST SOB] I was gentle. For the most part. [Sounds mildly scolding but really, it's not]

[He rolls his eyes, a mildly embarrassed look on his face.] Oh hush.

[France isn't the kind of man to go "MWAHAHAHAA" or he would, oh how he would. Crossing his arms over his chest he leaned back in his little cafe chair, smirking at the blush]

Ah, there's a familiar sight. It does do the heart good.

Though, what's to be embarrassed by? [A bit sing-song, he is. Evil laugh? No. Cheek? Yes.]

[He huffs, crossing his own arms over his chest. He refuses to answer that question.] Of course, you would make it a mission to make me embarrassed. That hasn't changed over the centuries.

[Its one of the things he rather enjoys about Francis, he's consistent.]

Ah Russie, I was not trying to make you embarrassed. [But damn it if the Russian doesn't look delightful huffing about and blushing. Coyly, he adds:] They don't call it Russian pink for no reason~ It's good to get some color on those cheeks.
