He is confused, but he figures if he managed to beat the snakes and foxes at their own game, finding himself somewhere new isn't all that surprising. [The unnatural dark definitely isn't keeping this one inside. He's not getting any answers just sitting around waiting for them, so he's out investigating, mildly irked at the number of newcomers he seems to be tripping over lately. He might even mute his seal if he were certain that would still work.]

It's an eclipse. [He pauses for a second, and then offers the next bit in a rare show of helpfulness:] If you want light, head inside.

Inside where? I can't see a bloody thing, and it shouldn't be this dark even if this is an flaming total eclipse.

[He stares in the direction of the voice and frowns again. Those bloody dice had stopped when he arrived, hadn't they? Then why had they started rolling in the first place... He starts looking around again.]

Where is this bloody place?

A city. Splendor. Exact location unclear.

[He folds his arms over his chest and frowns back. There's a brief consideration that maybe he should help him inside... But it's unimportant. The streets here aren't dangerous.]

So...are there any good gambling places here?

The snakes and foxes aren't in charge of this place, are they? There aren't any creatures granting wishes or giving answers, right?

[Mat jumps, drops the pot, and reaches inside his pocket to find what spoke. He pulls out the seal and leaves the dice inside. Ignoring the question for now, he stares at the seal.]

What's this flaming thing? Is it a ter'angreal?

[ The word gives Kid a moment of pause, because he does not know it and that means that it probably comes from no variant of an Earth language. ]

It's called a Seal. It communicates with other people who also have one.

A Seal? This isn't part of the seal on the Bore, is it?

[He pauses for a moment and picks up the pot.]

And I'm all right. My eye....just bloody hurts.

[He's not about to tell a guy he's never met that his eye just got torn out by sadistic fox-like creatures after all.]
