[Luke's had enough time now being an adult (sort of) again that some of his initial mortification and discomfort has worn off. Or at least, it's worn off enough that the need to thank/apologize to everyone has overridden it. He's going to have to talk to everyone sometime. He can't run and hide from everyone forever

[Asch has to confirm that he thinks the same, of course. But despite that, he did. And there's no undoing it. He took Luke in and thankfully it hasn't killed him...yet.]

[He sounds just the slightest bit defensive, as if he doesn't want to be in anyone's debt (and he really doesn't). As if maybe he dislikes the person he owes or maybe he feels he doesn't even owe them anything but somehow got weaseled into it.]

[Figures Asch wouldn't tell him about whatever "debt" he was talking about. Asch never really struck him as liking owing anybody anyway.]

All right, I get it...

It's not going to happen again anyway...

[He knew what had happened, and why. He wasn't going to make the same mistake twice. And he would definitely be careful from now on about how he would use the word "wish".]
