[Today the ornery redhead is making his way across the sand by the ocean's edge, not far from the wreckage of a large luxury ship. He's been looking for a new place to train ever since his counterpart began making use of the Seaside Park. Adjusting his weight so that he can cross the dunes more easily has proven to be an excellent training exercise

[A dog that's painting pictures over the Seals, and coincidentally looks rather familiar. One of Amaterasu's pups? He guesses it's possible. As possible as the fact that the beast's trying to communicate using images. Asch never was any good at this game.]

[That stuff's food, right? And a fat person with messy hair. And some other person swinging a sword--no, a bat, no it's definitely a sword. (Annoying.) At a blob. A fighter? ...Wait.]

[That can't be a drawing of Luke, could it? He'd recognize that mop anywhere.]

[There's a beat. Chibi blinks. But... uh... what he's trying to say is he can paint! Well, he's better at drawing and if you want him to use color he's going to need a source, but painting's good too!]

[He focuses and draws on the seal again: wolf pup drawing with his tail on a piece of parchment. It takes longer--about ten or fifteen seconds--but this time the effort he puts into it is obvious. When he focuses, his art can actually be really good! ... It's just all in black by default.]

[It shouldn't be that hard to understand, Mr. Red Hair... except... gah, he's so confused! You're not anything like you were the other day! But you look exactly the same! Except for your hair, what's up with that? What is going onnnn?]

[Oh great. Now it's giving him a look and crying at him. The thing's probably hungry. Because to Asch, animals are just animals. They eat, sleep, and run around.]

...I'm not going to feed you, so stop whining. It won't do you any good.

[Despite himself, Asch continues to watch and it slowly dawns on him what the wolf pup's trying to get across. It's been drawing all these pictures and shapes this whole time. It must think it can help.]
