TWO: in which Tinker Bell is a terrible loser [action]

[With her undignified arrival mostly forgotten Tinker Bell has been settling in nicely to life in Splendor (minor bean-related infatuations aside). In some ways it’s much like the Never Lands, but in many ways it’s better: there’s no way Peter would ever have tolerated her lazing in the sun amongst the flowers until teatime every day but here she

[ Asuka is walking by just to admire the roses when he sees the little confetti display coming from one of the bushes ahead. ]

Um...Excuse me....

[ he peeks a little closer toward the bush, not really knowing what to expect there. ] Are you alright?

[firstlaugh]

[Tink jumps in surprise and stares up at the face that peers down at her. She would have indignantly retorted with something rude but she checks herself when she realises that this boy was rather young compared to most of the people she had met so far. She continues to tear in to the petals but there's an air of bashfulness as she cryptically explains:]

Oh! Yes. But the bees are horrid!

[ He looks kind of excited to be talking to a real fairy. And so cute too! He smiles a little bit. ]

With stingers like that, they can be bullies, can't they? But... I'm sure it's not the roses' fault.

[ there is only one reaction: ]

OH MY GOD YOU ARE VICIOUS. I KNEW IT.

[firstlaugh]

[Tink looks up at the sudden shout and leaps in to the air with a yelp of indignant protest]

What? No!

[in a burst of light and fairy dust Tink darts towards him with her little hands outstretched]

I'm lovely! I promise!

[AAH PETER PAN LOOKALIKE Y U NO LOVE HER]

[heartnotation]

[ --whoa, did he just hear a voice? he looked around briefly before he noticed rose petals flying from a particular direction. deciding to approach the source of the voice, he wasn't sure who or what he was speaking to, but it shouldn't be that bad... right? ]

Hey, what's the matter?

[firstlaugh]

[Tinker Bell continues to tear savagely in to the flower petals and scatter them in every direction. She only looks up to tinkle a savage retort that's so handily translated by the miniature seal that hung around her neck.]

The bees cheated! I wasn't ready!

[and then, as if that explanation was the most reasonable thing in the world, she returns to vehemently destroying the rose]

The bees? [ if he understood her correctly, she must have played a game with the bees. ]

I don't think bees are very nice to begin with. Maybe you should find better friends to play with.

[Just passing by]

Hn. I get that feeling too, sometimes.

[firstlaugh]

[Tink stares and leans out of the rose so far that the stem bends in a graceful arc]

Oh! [she looks the stranger up and down dubiously before asking with a sudden brightness:] Have the bees been rude to you as well?

[And yet he still has to tilt his head back slightly to see her. But he touches his hat to her politely] Not bees usually, but other people. Enough so that I feel I need to break something.
