I've actually been curious about that. Mind sharing some of the information you find with me sometime?

oh i wouldnt mind at all
its nice to see that others are just as curious about the physics of this place
i have a theory myself

a lot actually!
well to us trolls anyway
after learning more about your species i think you would find us to be very strange too
like for example
humans actually live together in units known as 'families'
oh and you can actually tell who you're related to

Thank you! [ ... ] I don't think I have much of a theory like you do. I've always thought once we return home, we would be deemed missing by now.

[ wow, being a troll sounds confusing already. ] You guys don't know who your family members are?

[A boy's face appears, looking somewhat embarrassed, but mostly sad,]

I can't, hmm, read... it.

[By which he means he really can't read at all and all he got out of that was :) which is why he thought he should answer in case it was something nice.]

[and a gray-skinned girl with brightly colored horns appears on the seal]

Hm...? Oh! Okay, well, I was just curious if anyone knew if our absence from our home worlds had an effect on it. I've been told already that time supposedly freezes when we leave it, but if you know anything else...

And I was asking about humans! About your worlds, specifically. I'd really like to know about them!

[Jast immediately decides that whatever her species is, it is cute and he likes it, and he smiles brightly when she doesn't make fun of him for not being able to read her message.]

About the world?

[He knows many things about his world, what the trees talk about and where the ocean likes the sleep and all the names of all the mountains and what sacrifices to make to the gods. Is that what she wants to know about? Or does she want to know about what the humans do in their little towns and in their bigger cities, because he doesn't know quite as much about that.]

Yes! It's fascinating that there seems to be a large population of humans in Splendor from different worlds, each with its own unique culture. I mean, I have yet to meet any Trolls from a world where the sun isn't capable of killing us.

You can start wherever, I guess. I already know about human 'families' though.

[and that still squicks her out.]

I don't think you being here will have any sort of effect on your world. Whenever you return, expect to find yourself in the exact moment and situation you left before.

That said, I'm also human. Do you still have any questions about us or the worlds we exist in?

I too am interested in the question behind your research. Gone or simply missing... either outcome doesn't bode well, I'd say.

im afraid it might not be as simple as time freezing when we leave
but ill wait before i jump to that sort of conclusion

D --> It's a relief to see you here, Aradia
D --> I was wondering where you had gone
D --> Yet I am still uncertain as to where we are now
