This city is called Splendor. And I hope you've found some fountain by now, or otherwise some way of cleaning yourself up? You'll find that wishing for it works, as it were.

[Byakuran pauses before he responds; he is very much no longer covered in blood, but he is still not looking his best. He smiles regardless.]

At least someone has the decency to be helpful~. I did - but if I had known all I had to do was wish to be clean, then it would have saved me a lot of trouble~.

[Mello smirks, though it's mostly friendly, inclining his head in a small nod.] I do try.

The wishing thing can be damn convenient once you get the hang of it, and incredibly inconvenient when you don't watch out how you phrase things.

You noticed you've got a key on your person that wasn't there before?

[Byakuran pauses, raises an eyebrow and smirks. He had thought the wishing a joke - however; Byakuran is inclined to believe the impossible.]

Everyone should be careful what they wish for, hm~?

[He pauses and absently pats his pockets.]

Always. The saying can be taken especially literally around this city.

And yes, everyone who gets here is given a key upon arrival. It comes with a place to stay, of course. There should be a number or a name on it to indicate where that is.

Besides, a city that makes wishes come true? How many people get that kind of thing in their usual lives?

[Byakuran continues to grin; there is a subtle narrowing of his eyes, a way where it becomes far less pleasant.]

Sounds like the perfect kind of place for desperate people, doesn't it~? Though saying that; I can't imagine anyone passing up the opportunity to wish for their hearts desires~.

[He laughs. Calculates; considers.]

[He pauses. Considers this guy, the nasty look on his face. The 'anything' he could be referring to. Mello knows that violence is banned in Splendor, but whether that applies to wishes or not, he's not about to try out for himself. And if it doesn't? Well, at least there'll be someone to antagonize then.]

The only exceptions that I know of is that you can not affect the comings and goings of people in this place. Which is to say, wishing yourself or someone else away from Splendor, or wishing for another to come here, is pretty much pointless.

Of course I've only been here about a week, so I haven't had the chance to try everything.

[He chuckles, absently brushes his fingertips against where his mare ring should be sitting, off screen. Contrary to his general unpleasantness, Byakuran is not keen to start trouble right away.
