A new notice has been posted. Please read it.

[Everyone head on over to the notice board to check out a new notice. Who was it posted by? No one really knows. However, this is time to mingle and get to know the people you've been talking to, since you have to physically walk there to see it

[something very small hugs close to the corner of a building, tip-toe and practically ready to float away (the oversized key's a nice little anchor, though). safe, metal walls were now HELLO BIG GIANT BRICKS AND BIG PEOPLE WITH BIG NOISES HERE TO TERRIFY YOU.

chey is appropriately terrified. he curls his fingers on the wall and ducks his head, trying to listen for familiar voices in the mess of sounds around him.]

[he gives a confused look at her response--that's not what he wrote. wasn't he clear? maybe he should've written it smaller to fit it all on one line...he looks down at his work in mounting distress. how could he make it any more clear?

after a moment, chey looks up again, pushing the pencil back at her and pointing very importantly down to a blank portion of the page he was standing upon. unsure of his own clarity, he steps forward, patting her hand and pointing back at the paper, giving the pencil a push. maybe if she wrote first, he could see how to tackle this problem!]

[ Sakura watched through his pantomine, taking up the pencil after an amused moment (internally, at least) wondering at how much his body language and touch reminded her of a few other tiny friends.

She writes out her name in clear, flowing characters, hoping that the consistency she'd observed so far would hold true here. When she was done, she spoke again. ]

"Sakura." That's me.

[ she gently laid the pencil back down, then tapped on her breastbone. ]

I'm Sakura. This [ she indicated the paper ] spells "Sakura."

[chey stepped back and watched her write, beginning to despair as he saw the strokes go all wrong - he can't read that! but he followed along anyway, a finger following along in the air.

when she finishes, he steps forward, circling the markings to stand in front of her, reading it as she did. he kneels down, tracing the lines as she says her name aloud. sakra. sa-ku-ra. sa...

he tilts his head, considering. none of the sounds seemed easy for him to transfer to his own name and make it clear...

at least he had some notion of hers - and whatever language it was she was writing in. it wasn't much, but he had to start somewhere, didn't he?

he turns, looking up at her and nodding. he understood.]

[ she smiles at his nod, glad something has managed to communicate, if disheartened that she couldn't understand what he had written. ]

I'm glad one of us understands. I'm sorry, I don't seem to be able to read what you've written.

Is that what..... it looks like....? Don't fairies usually look-- well, y'know, less pitiful than that?]

[chey fusses with the ribbon around his shoudlers, stepping over it and looking back at the key he's going to be dragging around everywhere. he doesn't like it too much but--

slow...headturn...to gawk at...little sock-hatted kid.

[.....Okay. Well, if this is a fairy, it's a really weird one. Link isn't too sure it would be good for his health to use it, but whatever, he might as well investigate. Trying to look 100% nonthreatening (he's kind of glad to see something smaller than him, anyway), he approaches the... thing, with a little wave.]

shall i operate and give you a new set of hands?

[link has some bonus points for being short (...shorter than most everyone else, at least) and having those pointy ears. familiarity!

chey still flinches at the raised hand, though, but recovers quickly. apparently that hand thing was what people around here did. alright. chey chould do it, too. he holds out an arm and gives a little tight-wrist wave: one-two! before retracting and curling his hands up against his chest nervously.]

better do it quick

[He's now properly interested, and he sits down near Chey to try and appear less intimidating. He smiles as Chey returns the wave, even if it's a little bizarre, and he gestures slowly with one tiny, slightly battered hand in his direction. Look Chey, it can talk! And it's quiet! And almost high frequency but shut up]

[blink. he shrinks a little at the point, as if accused. bless those little elf ears, though.]

Hoo? [points back at link, unsure.]

[Oh. It can talk too! Except ouch that's a little.... high. He actually thinks that Chey is asking for his name first before he responds, so Link gestures to himself instead.]

[staring intensely, licking his mouth before trying:]

Link. Leeeenk. L'n [he stops, tilting his head. checking...]

J-Just gonna nod encouraging...ly....]

[nodding back slowly. am i winnar yes?

beat.

...oh. chey puts his hands on his chest. introducing...]

Cheyndulamaribannb. [say it five times fast without developing an aneurysm. ]
