I think it depends on what it is you have to do... is everything alright, Yamamoto?

[First Trunks looking over tired and now you saying cryptic things. She is starting to worry about you boys.]

[HYUP. Yamamoto actually heads out there immediately after their conversation, so when Makoto gets there she'll probably see Yamamoto tossing up a ball and hitting it into the outfield, where Jirou is waiting to chase them down and bring them back. Kojirou is circling around nearby, either hanging out or settling atop one of the dugouts for a rest.]

[Makoto takes a quick shower and once she's dressed and dry she makes her way to the park on her bike that she wished for some time ago. Reaching the park she didn't even have to pay attention to get to the field. Having traveled there almost daily she could get there blindfolded. When Yamamoto comes into view she smiles and waves.]

Yamamotooo!!

[Bring the bike to a stop near the field, she hops off and sets up the kickstand. Looking over the field is when she notices the dog he's playing fetch with.]

You have a dog? I didn't know that.

Yup! That's Jirou. [Jirou drops the baseball, perking up at the sound of his name before bounding in a circle and then toward where Makoto and Yamamoto are standing to greet Makoto enthusiastically. Kojirou lazily drifts over on a breeze to settle on Yamamoto's shoulder and he holds up a finger to touch the bird's breast.]

And this is Kojirou.

[She kneels down and holds out a hand for Jirou to sniff before gently petting his head.]

Are they from your home?

assassinmvp April 11 2011, 06:07:29 UTC
Yeah, they are.

[Yamamoto shoulders his bat and Kojirou flutters up and around his head to perch on that instead, tiny claws clicking against the metal. He watches Jirou plop down on his haunches next to Makoto and lean into her hand, tongue lolling out.]

That's his "I like you" pose, by the way.

Eheh, I like you too, Jirou. I bet you catch all of Yamamoto's hits, huh?

[Give him a few more quick pats on the head before standing to talk to the other properly.]

It must be nice to have them here with you.

Yeah. [Should he tell her that these animals are also swords? Maybe in a minute.]

This thing I gotta do- well, you already know that there's some dangerous guys from my home here, right?

I knew there was a dangerous guy, as in one person. Are there more now? You only warned me about someone with white hair and a tattoo under his eye.

Oh, right. Um well, yeah, there's a couple more kind of, but we've got it handled. But mostly that's the reason, because there's things I've got to help handle and...

[Baseball is a distraction? Baseball was never a distraction before, everything else was a distraction from baseball. How strange.

Yamamoto shrugs sheepishly, grinning.] And that's pretty much it. Baseball's fun [Baseball is everything] but I can't really afford to split my attention anymore. I'm sorry.

Is it because you have to train or keep watch on the dangerous guys?

Both! Mostly the first one and kind of the second one. I'm not really where I should be, so I've gotta work at getting stronger for a while.
