[It was a sleepless night for Enma - letting one's mind relax while you know that back home, the people most important to you have been shut up in prison is a difficult feat, to be sure. But more difficult to handle is the anger, the slow burn that he feels in his chest that slowly turns into a blaze of emotion that swallows him whole. He can't ( Read more... )

[No. It's a lie. It's all a lie. There's no way -- he left the letter on the desk. How do you not find that? How do you not notice? The only answer, as far as Enma is concerned, is that Tsuna ignored it. Adelheid said as much, and he's not going to distrust the word of his most valued Guardian.]

You didn't care! And you took everything!

[Because they're gone. They're all gone, and Enma doesn't want to think about how he can cope if he goes home. It scares him. He wants to end it here.

But after having his Dying Will mode running full blast for the better part of the morning, he's running out of steam, and it shows in how laboured his breathing has become. He'll be imploding in upon himself before long]

I do care. Enma...

[Tsuna is pretty sure this was a really bad move but he takes a step forward, arms at his side.]

I haven't taken anything from you Enma. You---

[You agreed with the Vindice, I never wanted this fight and Tsuna can't forget ChromeYamamotoRyohei. But this whole mess...it wasn't anyone's fault, not anyone here and he wanted to fix things, reutrn them to the way they were before. He breathes out shakily]

--we can still get them. From the Vindice. We can still rescue everyone.

[That doesn't make it better. That doesn't bring his sister back. That doesn't make up for abandoning him the first time. Something inside of him wants to believe that fixing this mess is as easy (easy?) as rescuing everyone, but that would mean forgiveness, and forgiveness would mean, well, surrendering his pride.

That? It's not an option.

He'll kill Tsuna now. End it here, give in to all the anger that's been building up inside. And he tries. He tries, but all that he can muster is a strangled cry when he feels something hot in his shoulder, a pain shooting through his body, like it's trying to rip its way out of his body. There's a burst of smoke, and he stumbles a bit, gripping his arm]

[Of course it wouldn't make it better. But they had to start somewhere.

Tsuna tenses a little when Enma moves to make a blow, fingers ready to slip into his gloves and defend his friends because he wont let them get hurt in this stupid fight--he can feel the pressure from Enma's flames and it hurts but then--]

Enma!

[alarmed, Tsuna moves forward unconciously in an attempt to help. Steady Enma. Something. He's not sure what he can do but he wants to make sure Enma is okay. Too many have been hurt and it just isn't right]

[Tsuna's not the only one making a move: after checking on Lambo, Yamamoto and the Octopus-headed idiot Ryohei's extremely wired for action, though not in the violent sense. Kozato may be an extreme jerk sometimes, but having a few months' of space from this whole grudgematch has given Ryohei some perspective; while he's never overly given to extreme introspection, sometimes even he can think about things. The conclusion he's reached doesn't make him want to fight this guy any more than he absolutely has to - he's Sawada's challenger, at any rate - but...well, somewhere back home Kozato's own boxing nut is still trapped in a mafia fishtank prison.

Ryohei sort of thinks he owes that extreme idiot the peace of mind of not having his boss get sent back home all messed up to the extreme because he's got his panties in a bunch still. Aoba Koyo may be a jerk, but that doesn't make him an extremely bad guy.

Stepping forward cautiously at Tsuna's side, Ryohei eyes Enma's growing damage and tuts lightly.]You're going to give yourself some ( ... )
