It's been wearing on him - not the being here so much as the being here and losing people. Sure, he's a flighty sort, who basically ditches people as soon as they become boring, but the people he'd been talking to here hadn't been boring yet, and losing people who he still cared about (to a degree) was...
It wasn't making him very happy. And no amount of idle wishing had brought Sakura back (he was especially concerned that she may have ended back up in that ... facility place), or Sarah back, or Sebastian back, or -- well, apparently he enjoys the company of people whose names start with S.
Normally he might be a little more excited for new roommates, but for now he was just going to... stand there, outside his door, not really acknowledging that maybe being a dick was preventing him from finding new fun friends.]That's fantastic. [It's not that he's a dick so much as just... frustrated by the way things have gone, in Splendor. The 'losing his friends' thing is losing its fun and he's starting to think home might be better.]
