[For a minute or two there is nothing to hear but the sound of rolling waves and far away cries of the sea gulls; whoever is broadcasting this is beyond doubt somewhere on the beach. It takes 'Ansem' another minute to speak up and when he does, his voice sounds wistful, almost aching.]The waves sound still the same. At least that hasn't changed

If it's to make things better, it's always worth the risk to try and change them.

So you think it's possible?

[Okay, perhaps not really. Which is probably kind of obvious. But still, trying to get him admit that out loud is not that easy.]

[He pauses a moment; from what he had seen of Natalia over the network, it seemed very unlikely that she was going to let him get away easily. When he next speaks up, his voice is more gentle, more reassuring.]
There is no need to worry about me; I just need to figure out a few things.

I wouldn't say you shouldn't change things [because then he'd be a big damned hypocrite] but...it's not something to be done lightly.

It all comes down to intentions of our actions and consequences they bring, huh? Always has, always will, I guess.
[That conclusion he had already come to once, in Castle Oblivion. But it's good to be reminded of it.]

He'll throw in his opinion, but only because he's interested about the time difference and other worlds.]
Situations differ. There are some situations that would benefit a change like you indicated, however there are some that society calls "terrible" that serve a greater purpose in the end.

I don't think it's right to blame someone who doesn't know their future. I mean, how could they have possibly known?
[It isn't fair to judge someone like that, no matter how terrible the outcome.]
As far as changing it...well, I dunno if it's a good idea to change the future or not. But...whatever happened must have happened for a reason, and something good might come out of it.

Normally I'd agree... but with that person I can't help but wonder, if they had at least an idea of what their path would lead to.
[Not even if that someone is Xehanort?]
Me either, that's why I'm asking for other opinions. Though... the true question would be if it's even possible. And... if one were to change it... how would it effect themselves?

[...This is Ven you're talking about.]
I dunno, unless someone can look into the future and see all the possibilities. Aqua's told me a little about messing with time, and it's a headache to sort out.

A man called Xehanort.
[...Point.]
I'm starting to notice.
