3rd ✿ Flower | Video/Action | Searching for a Tree

[Anyone that's currently looking at their seals will see a sea of green. To be more precise, a multitude of trees and forestry. Those who haven't taken the time to explore the entirety of Splendor might wonder where there was such a forest -- others will recognize it as the forest in the southwestern part of the city.

[A couple of bushes rustle as Shaymin runs by, looking for the flower garden. It was over there, over there right?

Not looking where it was going, it bumps into a pair of legs.]

Eeeek! [She jumps at the impact, not sure what just ran into her.]

[Wh-what is that?! It doesn't look menacing? It's not coming after her either, so...]

Um, are you okay?

[Shaymin looks up at kononno with a huff. Kononno should hear a girlish voice in her head now]

[Ping, hello you have a Decus.]

Actually yes. Very familiar actually. Mana is a pretty valuable to my world. And we have a Great Tree as well.

Really? [And it sounds like it's pretty similar to the way her world works too.]

Um, do you mind if I ask you a few questions about that, Decus?

Go ahead. Anything to help you out Kanonno.

[He'll try not to get brother-figure mushy ... too much. No promises though.]

Can you use artes that rely on mana here in Splendor?

[After Chester, you get used to overbearing brotherlyness. Sort of.]

Why do you ask.

[There's so many reasons so could go on for hours about it -- but she'd hate to ramble on about something you may not care about. So rather than get all technical on you, she'll give a general answer:]

It looks like mana can be used in Splendor, so I wanted to know if anyone knew where it was all coming from.

[He looks annoyed for a moment, but it is clearly not directed at her.]

I do not know where it comes from in this world, but I believe though we have been pulled here, we have remained connected to our own worlds, in some small fashion. We would have to be, else I imagine we would not fare well in this chaotic climate.

[That's true; her existence is directly linked to her world's mana, so if she were completely cut off she wouldn't be faring well right now. But she used a healing arte the other day and...]

It doesn't feel like Pasca's mana though...

[The video didn't catch her attention at first, but at the word mana, she turns her attention to her seal, one eyebrow arched.]

Can't say I've heard of a World Tree. But I'm certain I know what mana is. [she frowns a little, peering into the video with an evaluating look.]

I get the feeling we might be talking about something very different, if you're looking for it in a forest.

[She tilts her head for a moment. Knowing about mana without knowing about the world tree? One can't exist without the other -- at least, not where she's from.]

Well, for me, mana is pretty much an energy that flows throughout the world that acts as the basis of all life. A World Tree is the source of all that mana.

If you don't mind me asking, what's your definition of mana?

That's a strange question. You use it for magic, don't you? Though I suppose it varies from person to person.

.... It doesn't come from a tree, as far as I'm aware.

I use it for magic too, but I just wanted to know how different the idea of mana was between us.

It doesn't? Then where does it come from?

[ Mana? She wasn't really familiar with that term. And she couldn't say the same thing about "World Tree." ]

I don't know what that is. Is "mana" something you could eat?

[She laughs softly.] Not exactly. Where I'm from, it's something people can't live without. It's a kind of life energy.

[ Yep, it was definitely nothing that she heard about in her world. ]

So it's as important as blood?

Yeah, they're almost equally important.
