There does seem to be a cycle of new arrivals, but disappearances have been comparatively random. A few of my old housemates vanished long before any newcomers came, for instance.

That's the conclusion I came to. There are a few new faces where I'm residing as well and others missing.

I thought it could be something along the lines of replenishing whatever stock it's missing or has dispensed with, but that would bring up the question of why it allows certain individuals to leave, how it chooses, and why it gathers us in the first place.

This city is still gathering more people than just to replenish the lost. If we could make any sort of connection with each of the individuals that have gone missing, perhaps there might be a clue.
