It's a time to give gifts to people you like. Friends and family and stuff. And you eat really nice food, and sing really cute songs, and decorate lots~!

Well, there's some sort of celebration held to herald in the new year [which he can understand, it's a big deal] but a lot of different cultures have different things to do for it! Like one writes wishes on paper and hangs them on lines, and another just wishes and kisses the person closest to them at midnight...
