Sora is out and about, just like every other day. But today, he's scouring the forest. Riku and Kairi have to be here somewhere. They just have to be. He's thrown caution to the wind, taking no one with him. Vanitas isn't here anymore, right? So there's no one who'd want to grab him. He'll just have to find Riku and Kairi. And that's final.

Ansem could not help the smile of deep satisfaction, that kept returning to (Riku's) his face as he stepped through the woods, slowly but surely homing onto the light of the boy who once in his future had managed to ruin his plans. But that had been then, and it would not happen now, not ever again.

Beneath his control, he could feel Riku's heart stir, struggling just a little, like he always did every now and then. It was a pointless fight of course; Riku had long lost the strength to fight him off - another thing he had his slayer to thank for.

He was close now - he could already feel that boy's blasted light burn against his senses. Soon he should be in sight.

"Riku?"

He's calling his friend's name. It's not anything directed, just a yell. He doesn't sense Ansem--he's not old or trained enough to do so. So he just wanders without a care in the world except Riku.

He crooked (Riku's) his head slightly, a parody of Riku's smile on his face as he approaches.

"There you are." he called, tone kept lightly - sounding so very much (but probably not quite) like Riku - as if he had just been searching for the kid.
