Riku too was walking through Metropolis, finishing up one of his rounds and checking at the Law Enforcement's Headquarters... more out of habit than anything; there wasn't really someone to check in with, not since the captain and his vice had disappeared. Somehow that makes him a little uneasy, because even with Xehanort gone and things being mostly peaceful since, their group is splintered and without leadership and if anything ever were to happen, he knows they'd have a problem.

He should probably bring this up with Trunks he thinks; the only other one he truly knows in the force. He makes note of that in thoughts just when he's about to open the door, but then a sudden bark snaps him out of his musings and when he turns his head, he sees Pluto running up. Smiling just slightly at the sight of the dog, he stepped away from the door he held out a hand for the dog to nuzzle against.

"Hey Pluto... are you out on your own again, or is the King anywhere near?"

It's okay. /hugs--brb lying down again orz

Disjointed leadership is never a good sign, and with what has happened so far it has set the King on edge, too. But perhaps that was just him, being righteously--in his eyes--paranoid of a few others in this world...

Pluto trotted up to Riku's side and let a short yip in response to the question, nuzzling against the proffered hand. After a moment though he barked again and pointed his nose in the direction he came. Sure enough, Mickey was only half a block down and on the way over.

It's okay to be wary, in Riku's eyes, there are Sora and Kairi to think about - a Keybearer and a Princess of Heart, too young and too trusting to recognize danger and even though the biggest threat is gone for now; there is always Vanitas to consider and even though that dark Keybearer had helped them with the Heartless, who knew if, when, he might try something after all...

Riku turned his head into the direction Pluto pointed him to, the smile widening at the familiar sight of Disney Castle's king. He reached down one more time, patting the dogs head to thank him, then walks up to meet Mickey half way.

"Your Majesty!"

Vanitas was definitely a wild card in this madness, and with Riku's closest friends so young Mickey couldn't help but second the concern for them. After all... he was the one who knew the most about the boy out of the two, and after what he's witnessed--

Mickey looked up from his thoughts, mirroring that smile with his own. "Riku!" Leave it to Pluto to find him the moment he was thinking about searching him out. Maybe his dog was more intuitive than he thought all this time. "Hope I didn't catch ya at a bad time..." -Or that Pluto did, in this case.
