With a sarcastic roll of his eyes, he slowly approached the large cat, not afraid at all; after all, it did have the pendant, the seal that other residents of the city did. Even if Altair's most recent wish had not, in fact, literally been for a feline.
Ah, well.
"A cougar," he said out loud, in a statement that would surely take anyone's breath away with the gravity of it. Altair had just demonstrated that he had the observational skill of a 4-year old that knew the differences between large cats. Is anyone impressed?

He had expected a response via the seal, and certainly not in ... this form. There's a long look before Altair is even able to formulate a response, which is fairly impressive considering that normally he's quite quick-witted, quite able to come up with things on the spot.

New animals are new things, but this was VERY different to her. She tried to stay quiet, but, she was a child at heart, and she couldn't help but squeal, even if just a little, and she tried to be quiet "A kitty!"
Yes, Karin. Yes it is. And it's sitting right there.

Curiosity may have killed the cat, but the cougar took little caution as she strode toward Karin. Ears and tail up, her posture was as cocksure as her strut. Slitted nostrils flared to examine the anomaly in the safest way and - Oh. She knew that smell. Oh.
Talking hors d'oeuvres.
Well. It wasn't as if it would be the first time she'd encountered something conversational and tasty. She just wished she could talk to it before she decided if she wanted to snack, that she could ask it- "What manner of beast has use for so many arms?"

"Oh, sorry... did I wake you up?" She didn't THINK cats could talk, but, well, she could always be proven wrong. It seemed smart, so, maybe it just couldn't talk human? Still, even though she really couldn't understand exactly what Nidalee was saying, she could tell that the other was interested in her arms. "My arms? Well, I use them to hold stuff... sometimes, to support me when I'm on the floor... To catch food, and stuff like that.
