Izaya was busy stacking groceries in the cupboard when the door opened to an all too familiar scene. Setting the food items down inside, he steps a bit closer to see who has entered more clearly. He was certain the door had been locked, thus making this person a key-holder and therefore-- a roommate.

"Yo," he waved. "I guess you're here to take the other guy's place."

On closer inspection, this person was familiar to him. "Aren't you that kid who snubbed me in front of City Hall?"

Kid stopped, as though trying to put two and two together... why was there someone in 'his' apartment? For a moment he thought perhaps he had entered the wrong room, but then he remembered it added to eight and he'd never mistake something associated to symmetry like that.

"What other guy?" he inquired. Kid did vaguely recognize the other in passing. "You think I did what?"

"My previous roommate," he answered. "And never mind that, I'm only teasing."

He wasn't sure if he just didn't remember that short conversation or what, but he didn't particularly care either way. He hoped his company would be entertaining, though, if he had to have company at all.

Something in Kid's brain clicked just then. "They've assigned multiple people to the same room. I wasn't... informed."

He took another step into the room, surveying the layout. "What's your name?"
