Note: I stopped watching Bones a while back, so maybe this improved...

Day 07 - least favorite episode: Bones. I'm cheating a little here, but any episode on Bones that dealt with Brennan and her dad.

I hate this dynamic also. We are estranged from my dad's father through the choices he has made, and yet people who do not know the situation have tried to make it so that Dad and I need to chase after him and beg him to be a part of our lives on whatever terms he chooses. And NO. I don't need that, and I don't want it, and I will NOT pay the price it would require in my life. That man opted out of my life when I was three years old, and I had a grandfather, so I know what they are. They are not the people who donated sperm for my parents' existence. "Grandpa" means a great deal more than that to me. My grandpa is dead, and this other man is no substitute, and this show, this show is just cheap when it tries to play with powerful things it doesn't even try to understand.
