You could use the one I used last week, "I have to pick up someone from the airport." Granted I did have to pick up someone at the airport but it got me out of a three hour meeting on a Friday afternoon.
(and if you come up with something, lemme know. I've a similiar mind numbing, soul crushing meeting this afternoon as well. Although I will get to see some flailing which could be fun.)
Nah, Jack wins. It's just that his issues are "being daddy" issues.
Although Daniel's daddy-and-mommy-and-grandad issues should not be ignored just because Daniel As Poor Little Abused Orphan is such a staple of badfic.
Cam has daddy issues too, of course. They're just relatively mild compared to his SG-1 issues.
Vala certainly has daddy issues.
Jonas may be the only member of SG-1 ever not to have daddy issues, mainly because of the lack of canonical references to his having a family of any kind.

I think this is my new personal canon for Jonas. (for all we know everyone on Kelowna hatches from eggs. Jonas was REALLY weirded out when one of SGC's airmen was pregnant and Sam explained Tau'ri mating to him) (okay. I want that crack!fic now)
Also, in terms of SG-1's collective daddy issues? I think Teal'c wins, hands down.
Really? Not arguing, but I'm interested in why you say that. He's got issues with not being there for his son, and issues with his own father being killed by Cronus, and I guess one could say he has a habit of finding a father/leader-figure...
Daniel hasn't so much got daddy issues as my-parents-died issues, and they don't show him having that many issues with the Harsesis kid, but I bet they are there.
We all know Jack's being-a-daddy issues, but we don't know anything about his relationship with his own father.
And Sam has issues between her and Jacob, depending on how you want to term them - I'd agree that some of that could definitely be simply because he was her only parent after her mum died, and also that he's rather emotionally closed-off - which isn't a specifically male trait, at all.
Are examples from canon drawn? Apparently it's been too long since I've watched it, but Sam and daddy issues aren't two things I would have put together.
