I was unfortunately unable to turn my ear away from overhearing a conversation. It's one of those conversations I have strong feelings about, but it was a personal matter, and I don't think my arguments would be convincing. I have yet to figure out how to convince people to be more empathetic and compassionate. Some people just have to be there, or to know someone (well) who has really struggled. And even then, they often make the 'exception' argument
