Every little thing you wanted

I love Alfred. I love that old idea of him being like a retired James Bond (I know!XD). I wanted to explore how and why he became the Pater Familias of a very disfuntional family. This piece was edited by the wonderful mithen, because she´s nice and cleans my awful irregular tenses and makes them look pretty. All unclean stuff still there is mine alone ( Read more... )

Very nice, I hope we see more from you! I particularly liked the line about Alfred liking the Waynes more than royalty.

Thank you.

I can´t promise to write more of this fandom soon because I write about ideas and feelings I have lurking in my mind and adapt them to the context I believe will show better, and that, could be almost anything.

I´m sure Alfred would have said something to erase Bruce´s obsessed worship of his parents holiness if Thomas and Martha hadn´t been nice people.

Alfred is a wonderful character and he deserves more writing^^But, I can´t promise I will write him more soon, what I will write next time depens in too many random things.

This is wonderful and I too hope that you keep writing and posting (the important part). This is a tough subject you've written on and yet you've treated it so kindly. It shows the mischievous little genius he was as a young child as well as the 8 year old man (loved this line) he became after his parent’s death. I appreciated Alfred’s voice in this and how he bought his past life into taking care of his charge (giggled when Alfred gave Bruce cartography problems in order to allow him to work in peace).
Thank you for sharing this fic with us. Again I hope to see more.

Thanks.

Normal kids can and are difficult (in the good and bad sense) most of the time. Geniuses? That´s is SCARY. My 4 year old niece defeated my in an argument sometime ago and I still can´t believe it, and she´s not a genius.

If I had a genius kid I´m sure I would search for all the cryptography codes I could find.

I wanted to sugest that was Bruce first training in applied maths, and mathematics could lead to logic, computers and engineering. I read about this in a book written by Katherine Neville years ago and I found the idea very interesting. Besides... a spy must deal with codes all the time, rigt? Army and the Vatican do. after all.

A very well reasoned analysis on the growth of logic in children, genius or not. I appreciate your application of research in this fiction.

Thank you, but it was just personal and direct observation of my nieces and a little inspiration from what I remembered of that book. No reasearch at all^^;

"Doctor Thompkins is counselling Master Bruce as best as possible" is all I can say. I do not say that I am doing my best as well but it is just not enough.

I really liked these two lines for what they show about how Alfred is coping with all of this--like Bruce himself, he's presenting a cool face to the world while bleeding inside from his sense of helplessness. THis was a really empathic and fascinating look at this time in their lives--times that I think are a real challenge to capture in fic!

I am always thankful for your help, after all you don´t have to. Someday I have to repay you for all, and I mean it!
