That was absolutely terrific. One of the first fics that really take a serious and believable approach to such a loss. Usually it's hey my wife is dead why don't we make out.
Mike is resenting the past and Chester is confused by it. I love that Chester isn't pushing and waits without confrontation. He's still there and he's ready to be there when Mike wants to give away a little more.
That anna was pregnant makes the situation a lot more intense and even sadder. It was very movingly written without turning into a cliche.
