I believe it was Christmas when my Dad brought over a bottle of Rose, knowing how much I've grown to like this non-zinfandel pink wine in recent years. But December is not the freshest time for summer wines, and this bottle had TURNED. Yeesh. Come have some of my Rose! Maybe we can get some Looza and fizzy water and turn it into non-alcoholic Kir, and pretend we are back in France...

Yeah, Portland is always thinking they put BIRDS on everything FIRST as well.

Recipe does sound yummy! I think a Rose Kir drink is going to be the way to go. We can have outdoor cocktails together!

You'll get to meet Sydney when you come back East: she's experimented with making pineapple vinegar, w/o any mother or starter vinegar at all. That is pretty hardcore, but she's a professional chef, thus much more systematic than I am.
