[He's in the process of finishing up the hamburgers when he hears her voice. And he's beside her in the next moment.]

You're awake! -- oh, you want something to drink?

[One of her eyes peek open; the pupil's a little dilated, but she's smiling, so it's nothing serious.] Yeah, just water or something? My throat feels like sandpaper!

[He nods and retreats to the kitchen. He gets a glass of water (that is hopefully safe) and brings it back alone with a bowl of hamburgers.] Here you go; there's burgers too.

[Maya sits up again, taking the glass and one of the burgers.] Oh wow, you made burgers?

Oh--Are you alright?

I've felt better.

[The smell of Alred's hamburgers lure him downstairs, and he just so happens to pass Maya on the couch on his way there. He stops when he hears her voice and blinks at her, before letting out a relieved sigh]

... don't do that again.

Oh don't worry, I never wanna go through that again! No more drinking anything left on the front steps from now on.

[His annoyed look turns into a relieved smile]

Oi, did you have any hamburgers that Alfred-san and I made?

[She grins.] Of course I did! You guys are pretty awesome cooks, y'know!

Yeah, I'm okay! No need to worry about me, Rika!

Good nano desu...I didn't want Maya-mama to be sick nano desu...

I'm feeling a little under the weather, but I'll be fine! I just gotta sleep it off, y'know?

[knocking at the door and holding a bouquet of handpicked wildflowers]

[After a moment, a yawning Maya opens the door, looking no better than she did this morning. She pauses mid-yawn, and her eyes go wide.

She says nothing, but she's contemplating whether or not to just slam the door and lock it.]
