Sorry about the white noise, it was a spur of the moment decision to record + blame @wchanneltv for the twitter reply notification sound you hear ;)

Good to know that they might know whether or not there will be a third season soonish. EEP!

I wasn't keen on the fact that she said she'd jump when they said jump, but wouldn't put up a fight (aka no arm wrestling) ...that kinda made me sad.

I started the interviewer feeling that she was uncertain about how s2 was received...aka everyone was bitching about too much supernatural... but at least by the round off of the interview it felt more positive. I certainly think the feedback from this season will affect the way they write...good or bad, who knows.

It makes sense though that she wants to maintain good relationships with the people at W because she wants to make other shows whether Spirited succeeds or fails. Sad truth, I think.

*everything crossable crossed*

LJ, WE HAD A DEAL! YOU WOULD NOT FUCK WITH MY LJ NOTIFICATIONS TODAY OF ALL DAYS!

*ahem*

Yeah, I get it too. I think it will go ahead but they might come at it from a slightly different angle. ..now that the ghosts have dissipated they'll likely settle back to more family/extended family issues which now happen to also involve the supernatural.

Actually, upon listening a couple of times, I got the feeling that her comments re 'arm wrestling' were more about asking for a pay rise (which ridiculous, seemingly star struck interviewer suggested) rather than fighting for the series as a whole. I can only imagine that the politics involved in series renewals is pretty full on. As producer, Claudia is responsible for the employment of her cast and crew and on that score I can't imagine her not putting up a fight. Also as a working actor in Australia, she would clearly understand the futility of playing the 'star' and demanding more money. Employment and a steady pay cheque are what count. Here's hoping after tonight's brilliant season ender, they get the green light for series 3.

Ah good pick up. I was so flustered scrambling to record that I didn't pick up he was talking about "the big bucks". Hopefully you're right on that! :)

Oooh, thanks for posting this! I just got into the series and have watched all but the final episode. I'm terrified it might not be renewed! This interview gave me hope. Clearly there are both ideas and the will to go on. Sounds like it's just a matter of contracts, perhaps?

Damn, I need a Spirited icon now! ^__^
