Jury duty was teh suck. I may post about it more later when I figure out if I care then, but suffice to say for now that I am wholly unimpressed with the state-funded legal system. All that happened today, I'm sure, is that 14 or 15 people got bored or angry or both.

I'm on a conference call right now with ~40 managers and reps for the DC area for my company right now.

Allen concedes defeat in the VA senate race, resulting in all the news outlets final report: the Democrats have a majority in both House and Senate.
I'm getting out of work a few minutes early today because I skipped my lunch break so newguy#2 could get trained. -

Huh. So this is why 48th was blocked off this morning. I had to take a detour out of my neighborhood to drive Joia to class (and got turned around three times on my way back home; my neighborhood is more confusing that I thought when you're obeying one way roads). I slept right through all the apparent action.

I just fucking got home from work. 9.5 hr inventory, walked home at 3:30a after walking Jenny to her dorm (a 3 minute detour, but it was a rowdy night around CP -- Terps won the football game), just got in at 4am. I'm going to go upstairs in a minute and either be too riled up for sleep, or will pass out before my head hits the pillow.

Today is one of those days where I don't want to be responsible. I only have a six hour day of work, and it seems so long. I just want to go home and play videogames or watch tv or read a book, even. tonight was awesome. seeing people, having the wine, pairing it with candies, all of it was great. I need to bug abi for a list of what we drank. rather, I need to get a couple bottles of the first red we had, and maybe the second sparkling white.
