Anything by Tom Robbins (though I reccomend Jitterbug Perfume, Feirce Invalids Home from Hot Climates, or Still Life with Woodpecker). And Lullyby by Chuck Palaniuk. :)

Fear and Loathing is a truely excellent book. soooo much better than the movie. I used to have the entire passage about dealing with highway patrol committed to memory. =)

You know, I didn't really like the book? Maybe because I'm not big in the drug culture but it just didn't impact me like it seemed to do to others.
