Who: Hatake Kakashi, and anyone else
What: Kakashi first comes to this world
Where: At the bottom of the stairs
When: early evening

Kakashi had no idea where the fuck he was.  He had gone to bed in Kohona, and woke up…here.

Here seemed to be a huge spiral staircase that twisted up into eternity and the inky sky.  Nonplussed, he ran a thumb across ( Read more... )

Riku heard this as his heart stopped.
There was no use staying there to he stepped out into
the area where the two figures stood.
Though he approached with a casual, "Yo," he kept his grip
firm on his keyblade.
"Sorry I just happened to be in the neighborhood."
He didn't stand too close and held a defensive stance though
he tried to make it look normal.
"So," he said rather nervously, "um... Are you really dead?"
he said looking at the feminine figure with his voice alomst choaked.

The world stopped moving at that moment.

Zabuza-san is... dead...

Kakashi's next words, though, reminded him that this wasn't the correct time to mourn. Maybe later, but for now they needed to know more about the situation they were in.

He looked at the newcomer when he came out, and squeezed the needles between his fingers in reassurance. He still had not shown them yet, though he had no doubt that Kakashi had an inkling that he had them ready. It wasn't the older shinobi that he was wary of, though; Haku knew that neither of them had any reason to attack each other.

"Yes," he answered in response to Riku's question. "Or, I was a few moments ago. I am not so sure now."

Kakashi kept half an eye on Haku, he noticed that the boy had readied some needles, but he wasn’t too worried. He was more worried about the strange young man with the even stranger blade.
"So..." Kakashi let the silence stretch for a second before continuing on. "Let me repeat the question. Does anyone know why we're here? I don't know about you, but I'm a little confused as to why I'm in a strange city, with a katana that broke years ago, and knife that I haven't even touched since my best friend died, and little else. I didn't even get Icha Icha." Kakashi was particularly upset about that.
There was dead silence after Kakashi's little speech. He sighed.
"Why do I have to be the one to break the ice?” He sighed again.
“I’m Kakashi, and I’m an ninja. He’s,” and Kakashi pointed to Haku, “Haku, also a ninja. And that’s all you really need to know about us, since our past lives really aren’t important or relevant at this moment. Now,” Kakashi fixed Riku with an intense stare, “Who are you?”

"My name is Riku. I'm not a ninja or anything." He looked at the weapons they were each holding. He'd seen some pretty odd ones himself but none quite like these. The ones he'd seen have always been more... colorful. These seemed to be skillfully crafted for killing. They looked like they'd been used-- alot. He kept a bit of distance between them trying to keep an eye of where he could run if necessary. There seemed to be a crumbling ally but there was the risk of it being a dead end. He strained his ears through the oppresive silence, wary that there might be more of these ninja ( ... )

Kakashi's new current arsenal was quite memory-laden, Haku noted. He blushed at the mention of the infamous Icha Icha novel, as he knew of its reputation through word-of-mouth when he and Zabuza-san had travelled...

The teen made a mental note to get the details of Zabuza-san's death later. Kakashi's earlier answer wasn't enough.

When Riku started talking, Haku's confusion grew. He went through a door and arrived here... this isn't the afterlife. So where is this place?

He studied their informant, who looked tense and wary since Kakashi's announcement. While it was useful to have your opponent feel threatened by your presence, that didn't mean Haku enjoyed it. He had hoped before that if he died he wouldn't have to face this situation again, but apparently it wasn't meant to be.

He felt cold.

Riku looked at the slighter ninja. He guessed from the long hair and nail polish that it was a girl, though "she" seemed very strange. Her posture made Riku guess her thoughts were elsewhere. She probably was just as confused about this place. But he was not ready to trust either of them because he couldn't even see their faces. The taller ninja only had one eye showing. What was the point in that? Maybe he had a weird eye like the Hyuuga kid he met earlier. But the other nin, he couldn't see her face as all and he no clue what she was thinking. He would have felt a lot better if they weren't holding those weapons. At least they weren't trying to choake him like Neji tried. -_-;;
