Hazel prepared the house, trying to clean off as much blood as he could from the past rain of blood and making sure everything was clean enough that hopefully it wouldn't trigger another plague. Hopefully Chii-han wouldn't mind Monsieur Ky, he thought. Maybe they could get along, too. And Monsieur Ky could help Chii-han find Hideki-han.
"Chii-han. I'll be having a guest over. You're free to join us if you like," he said through her door before heading downstairs to prepare some teabags, cream, sugar, scones and jam. Thank goodness for relatively fresh packaged scones Hazel could scavenge from a pastry shop.
