Kodomo. Kodomo. What kind of a nickname is that!?
Watanuki growled as he marched through the teahouse's hallways on his way to the kitchen, ignoring the creaking of the floor boards. Even though he had just recovered from who-knew-what-that-god-awful-sickness-was, his 'liveliness', as Yuuko would say, hadn't been sorely affected. Before Touya had managed to rile him up, he had been wondering just how he had gotten better when he had felt like he was dying the day before. It was just so weird, and he got a headache from just thinking about it.
Another thing to add to his pains was Sakura's brother. No offense to Sakura, but -- why did her brother have to act all Doumeki-like, even if he wasn't as quiet or sarcastic as the bastard back at home?
Watanuki slid the kitchen door open and grumbled, ignoring the Doumeki voice in his head making some comment about acting childish.
It was only when Watanuki started rummaging through the cabinets that he remembered that Touya wanted to bake. Not 'cook' in general, but 'bake'. Watanuki pressed his palm flat on his forehead and groaned. There was that instant cake mix somewere, but he had refused to touch it on the principle that anything he made was 200% better than anything mostly machine-processed. Also, there weren't any eggs.
He hoped that Touya could do without them.
