Ky was actually unprepared for the Bishop's arrival. He was sitting, resting, on the raggedy couch when the knock on his door startled him. He slowly got up, suspicious of the noise, until he heard the voice calling.
"I am, Bishop." Ky made his way over to the door and opened it. To be honest, he didn't think he would be visited this soon. When his eyes set on the man, Ky quickly understood why the Bishop came over so quickly. He looked worn down.
"Please come in," he said. He stepped aside to let his guest in. "It's a pleasure to finally meet you face-to-face."
How could Ky say 'nothing productive' without sounding as shameful as he felt when he thought it? He didn't know how long he had been in this city, but it felt like a long time. And still he wasn't anywhere closer to learning anything than he was before. It was going to drive him mad.
"I haven't been able to do much," Ky admitted with a slight grimace. "I'm trying to make up for it."
"Very much so, monsieur," Hazel sighed, trying to keep a little smile on his face. "It's rather hard living here without any familiar face to always keep you company. I've seen one or two through these electronic journals, but they aren't friends to me. Ukoku-han is here, but he isn't always around for me to contact. I thank you greatly for alleviating this loneliness in this strange land. How about you, monsieur?"
"I suppose I might," Ky replied. "There are still many duties that I need to take care of in my world. I'm concerned over what effect my absence will have."
Hazel nodded. It was something serious to leave one's world with things left undone. Hazel also had things left undone. He had yet to exterminate all the monsters from his world. But somehow, he felt no urgent need for it at the moment.
"I hope then that somehow you could return to your world so you could get back to those duties."

He watched Hazel for a little moment; the man really did seem revived. That was a relief.
"May I take your bowl?" he asked, getting up and picking up his own.
