Open: Not especially; Asch and Luke are welcome, as well as Crimson, but if Daddy Fabre pops up, things are probably gonna get dicey.

"For whom, Dr. West?" Susanne brushed a wrinkle from her skirt. "No, dear heart. He is currently residing in the hospital, and I'm afraid that is a bit far, even for one as 'adventurous' as me." She smiled sheepishly at him.

"Actually, I was planning to ask either Asch or Luke if they had the time to accompany me there, today or tomorrow, but they are surprisingly difficult to get ahold of, I'm afraid. I shall as Crimson to go with me, perhaps, but he has been looking tired lately, and I don't wish to ask him for anything that would wear him out."

Guy's lips pursed for a moment, then he shook his head, setting his hands on his hips. "Don't worry about it, then. I'll take you to the hospital, if that's where you need to be. Otherwise the food will be spoiled, and you want him to enjoy it, right? So we'll go after we're done, if you feel up to it."

The state of the food was a rather pitiful excuse, but a convenient one, so he ignored the inkling feeling that it was an obvious lie. He wasn't sure how he liked the idea of being worried for Fabre's wife - but at the same time, he didn't mind looking after Asch and Luke's mother. Strange, how connections like that changed one's perspective.

Susanne realized the foolishness of her words when Guy offered to accompany her; were she less refined, she might have struck herself on the forehead. "No, no, Guy, I couldn't possibly ask you to do that. I'm sure I'll get ahold of Luke or Asch...or, if need be, I will hassle Crimson. I can't put you out any more than I already have."

"You haven't 'put me out'," Guy mused. "This is my home, and you came here. I haven't gone out of my way or anything, and you didn't ask me to go with you, either. I can understand if you'd rather have someone else's company, but if Asch and Luke are busy and His Grace is tired-" And such a difficult thing that was, agreeing to do a favour for Duke Fabre- "I'm at least a decent alternative."

"I..." This was not going very well. "I was not implying that...you aren't capable..." Susanne took a deep breath; she was babbling, and quite possibly annoying him.

Clasping her hands behind herself in an effort to reorganize her thoughts, Susanne offered, "I trust you with my safety more than you could realize. You have cared for my children...and I have the utmost faith in you." With difficulty, Susanne conceded. "And...if it truly isn't a trouble for you...I would be delighted if you'd escort me to Dr. West's." She bowed.
