Snort snort snort. That was the noise that Yuri was making as he trudged his way around the staircase. He was in his Gaudian form, busily trying to see if he could somehow effect the staircase in some way. The doors near it wouldn't open, no matter how hard he kicked them, so maybe something else would work. That was when he decided to fuse into something else.
There had to be something up with the staircase. The talk with Mewtwo made him curious about it. He was so (stubbornly) wrapped up in stomping around that he didn't see the girl nearby.
Where most would run away from the shadows, Sunako dashed into them. She took cover there as soon as she heard the snorting. Even more odd is the fact that she wasn't afraid for herself. Whatever the source of that snorting was...she didn't want to scare it away before she saw what it was.
And then she did see him, and her heart skipped a beat. It was...a thing, a monster, a Creature of Darkness. Maybe this was what the people here kept as pets? And if that's the case, maybe this one was a stray
( ... )
Oh crap, Yuri thought as he heard a voice. He had been trying really hard not to hang around in a fusion form for too long in case someone came around. He really wasn't in the mood to be hunted down as another demon again. His ability was a part of him, of who he was, and he wasn't afraid of it anymore. But other people still were and, while he couldn't blame them, it could get really annoying.
He turned around slowly, hoping not to scare anyone, with his guard up in case they decided to try to get the upper hand on him. It was some girl... with a tray of meat. No, offering the meat to him.
Wait. What?
Yuri paused suddenly, giving her an incredulous stare. First of all, did she just call him 'doggie'? Secondly, she was offering raw meat. Thirdly, she just called him 'doggie', didn't she? What the hell?
All he could do was just stand there, unbelievingly, staring at her with his head tilted to the side.
"Ah." Sunako frowned as some of the hamburger slid off the tray and onto the ground. She hated seeing food wasted like that. She didn't dare take her attention off the creature for too long though. But he hadn't attacked yet. If anything, he seemed to be as curious about her as she was about him. She'd always had a way with seemingly vicious animals.
"Are you lost?" She took a step closer to him while tilting her head. He wasn't going for the meat, so maybe he wasn't a stray after all. "Don't worry, I can take care of you until your owner shows up." Who would keep a monster like this as a pet? Someone just like her, she's sure. Or maybe this monster was actually some mad scientist's creation, one of a kind! If that were the case she's sure someone would come looking for him soon. And as a reward, Sunako could ask for a tour of his lab. Sunako looked decidedly cheerful at just the thought of it. It was like waking up in Disneyland...only better!
