The Defense of Marriage Act did not pass the Senate, with a vote of 50-48 with two abstentions, by Kerry and Edwards.

Lest they take a stand, of course.

I'm not surprised they didn't vote. Actually, a smart political move. I think I'd rather be called indecisive than bashed for voting either way during the campaign. heh Just me though.

I'm not 100% surprised by the MI voting, but, then again, I am because of the shit I heard about MI being against Gay Marriages. Interesting!

Thanks for the link as well. :) I'm grateful that it went down like that. I'm sure it won't be the last time it gets voted on, eh?
