I read this article earlier about Howard Zinn and J.D. Salinger in which the writer basically said that God must exist and must also hate liberals as much as she (the columnist) does, why else would he kill off two within so short a time span? Then preceded to say that Salinger is in Hell right now because he penned one of the most overrated books ever, i.e. Catcher in the Rye. I mean, the columnist apparently likes to bank on being bitchy and a controversial but it still really upset me. Because I know so many other people who share her views. I hate when people deem anything 'over-rated', let alone saying that a man is hell-bound for just ONE of his books that the columnist probably never even read to begin with.
I also had that exact thought about Kerouac. I swear if I'm this upset about Salinger, I can't imagine how I'd be experiencing Kerouac's death.

This woman sounds like squalor and ignorance.
