Russian Friends

I keep getting Russian people adding me on livejournal... I'm wondering why? I don't speak Russian and I don't think my profile in any way says that I do. I do have a page of artwork on my Russian friend's website, but that's about it really

I think they're primarily spambots or serial adders.

You're right about some of them looking like serial adders, but not all of them are. Two of the last three who added me look like they could be legit people.

They're friendbots. I've been getting them too for about a year. The 'users' are usually removed in a few weeks.

You used to have your name written in Russian a while ago on your profile page. Maybe that's how it started?
