I just got off the phone with Ben (he's back in Montgomeryville/Lansdale this week; this didn't happen in Pittsburgh) and I am PISSED. He was treated like shit today when he went to Circuit City . He originally just went in to kill some time and was planning on buying a few things,

Background: as most of you know, Ben suffers from severe chronic ( Read more... )

Forget a harassment suit -- go for physical assault and DISCRIMINATION.

This is bullshit and I really hope he takes photographic evidence of his shoulder.

And I will do my very damndest never to shop at a Circuit City again, either.

yep, his mom took some pics of his shoulder. apparently circuit city is already pretty hated... they set some limit to how much they thought employees should make, and anyone who'd worked long enough to make more than that was fired. then they offered them their jobs back at like, half their old rate.

so what other stores do you hate/refuse to shop at?

I refuse to shop at Urban Outfitters because a) the clothing quality is shit and b) the CEO supports the NRA. I also don't shop at certain locations of Old Navy and Target, and we don't really ever shop at WalMart or Sam's Club (Costco is okay, though).

Send the guys at www.consumerist.com an email about this. It seems to happen a lot with those big stores like best buy and circuit city.

yeah... security feeds don't have sound, but otherwise it would make for some great youtube fodder.

yeah... i shop at target ALL the time. never walmart; i think i've been there twice in my life. but that probably has more to do with my elitism than my moral compass. we do costco when we have a car.

basically i'd love to be able to buy only stuff made in 1st world countries with organic fabrics/dyes but then i'd have to pay $50 for plain t-shirts, $200-300 for jeans, $20 for socks or underwear. and i do not have that kind of money. why can't i just be super-rich?
