hating the driving

Oh god, finally made it home after leaving at 8am and digging more than a ¼ of an inch of ice on top of the car. For the first 60 miles we dared not go over 45 mph (the snow chain guide said we should not go over 30). When we made it to Kelso we took the chains off, and could speed up to 55. Throughout the drive there were bits and pieces of chains

Wow, I'm amazed you guys did it! And I'm glad you got back safely. We're making the same trip Tuesday night, and I'm hoping it will have thawed a little by then. But it's nice to know that it can be done!
