WINK UP 2010.10 - NEWS & THEMSELVES
Ryo
Actor - Since when I act for dramas or movies I'm basically alone I don't talk to much on the set. I always think to try my best to be talkative but in the end I don't talk too much with the staff. If I remember my lines? I don't think I'm slow. When I receive the script I take a brief look at it, then when I see that I have longer lines I try to memorize them in advance. In the other cases, I just memorize them the day before while I'm in car going back home. Doing like this the day of the shootings I remember all properly.
Idol - Dunno. I really have no idea. I never think something like "I'm an idol", I don't sprinkle courtesy and freshness too. I mean, I'm not the type who in concerts is able to yell "Aishiteru yo!", Tegoshi can do it a lot. I always think "Tegoshi is such an idol～". I think that being called an "idol" means to look like one. Maybe I'm a little like that too. By the way, soon there will be NEWS concerts and I really can't wait for them. I want the fans who will come to see us to hear LIVE and wait with big expectations.
In front of the girl I like - I do my best (lol). I'm super kind and attentive. I don't think I'm too different from my usual self but in front of the girl I like I'm really very gentle. I don't say anything mean, never. I think I become so kind that everybody can clearly say "Oi, that guy is in love with her!". Not only with the girl I like, I'd do like that also with my girlfriend.
"The half-hearted one" - I'm always like that. When I'm working I'm always adequate. I'd love to face the others earnestly but everybody is different and I can't know if people think that I'm half-hearted in work too. My intentions are always to do the best I can. That's why when I'm not working I end up to be very half-hearted (lol). It just happens. Oi, listen, it can't be helped. Like when I have to answer to 9 questions for "NEWS Tayori". I know that when I'm asked "Which one?" I answer "Both are good" and it seems I'm half-hearted, it's that I don't lie. I'm only being honest. If it seems that I'm half-hearted I'm sorry, I don't want to look like that!

Koyama
Actor - My latest project as actor was "Guest of room 0". I played the role of a Hikikomori, it's a role so much different from my real self that playing it was so difficult. That time I could co-start with Yokoyama-kun and Joshima-kun, doing meeting with them and face their careful acting I've got a lot of stimulus. Also the stage with "Call" was a big work to me. There were so many lines to memorize, only to take note of my part's line I had to use 2 block notes...Being able to remember that huge quantity of lines made my self-confidence raise.
Idol - I realize I'm an idol when walking on streets I receive praises and handshakes. I went to Fukuoka for "news every.", there I met 20 old ladies who were there for sighseeing, they called me so loudly saying "I always see the news show!" or "Ganbatte!". Since I was offered to do "news every." occasions like that increased a lot. When I'm at the supermarket I'm often called by housewives. I'm really thankful to that show.
In front of the girl I like - When I work I have a big sense of duty and rules, I don't do compromises, I always do my best. In my private life I'm more relaxed. I'm the type who wants the girl he likes to know the more possible about him so I guess I talk a lot. I think I'm the domineering husband type. I love to be praised so I'd want sweet phrases like "Okaeri! You worked hard today!" (lol). I'm so different from when I work so I'd be really embarrassed if the girl I love sees me when I'm with the other members (lol).
"The one who always thinks to the members" - Recently due to the concerts we have more occasions to be all together so I'm confirming all over again that I really love them all. When Yamapi had his solo activities I wished him to have a huge number of people to listen to him, I also wanted Ryo-chan's movie to be a big success. After each activities everybody return to NEWS again, that is the best way to light again our fireworks. I'm happy of being in such group.

Shige
Actor - Dramas and plays are a little different. With plays you have more time to turn completely in the role, little by little he enters in your everyday life and when the play ends you feel a sense of emptiness. For the dramas I'm a little cooler. Every scene has different cuts, according to the director the role has different explanations too. I think it's necessary to be more flexible.
Idol - An "Idol side"? I wonder if there's one in me (lol). During this year countdown concert, I felt like in the Tokyo Dome's lockers there was a full idol set (lol). Seeing those costumes and feeling the atmosphere of the place, there is a switch that turns on. In my case, I set simply my hair, I change my clothes at the last moment and there I realize that my mood has changed. I should go to the Dome to take back my "Idol set" before NEWS concerts. What can I do if somebody steal it? (lol).

In front of the girl I like - Talking about "I want to be loved more than to love" actual kind of mood, I've never been predisposed to love at that extend. Of course when I was an high schooler I had the normal interest into love, but now having my own pace shaken by love, feeling like I'm not myself anymore is troubling. That's why if I fall in love right now I wouldn't go in "love love mode", I calmed down...like an old couple who was together already 30 years (lol). I think that this kind of atmosphere "partner-like" is good.

"Me as NEWS" - Suddenly the time to spend with the members increased. All together we're excited towards the lives and we want to do our best, it's so easy to receive this impression. Under Nishikido-kun's suggestion we all went to see TegoMasu's concert. In that occasion I was invited by Yamashita-kun: "If you have 30 minutes what about a tea?". After so many time I got to talk with him alone. In the end we stood together 3 hours, not 30 minutes (lol). We talked a lot, it felt great. Massu's ability in talking improved so much! This time he was so accurate in his presentation (lol). I think that being on a stage as TegoMasu was really important for his experience.
Massu
Actor - Recently I went to see PLAYZONE and I've been asked to come out during a scene. That was a rare occasion in a play and I was scared to face the world of theatre. All the staff insisted though so I intruded a little. During the scene of the auditions I replaced "Sakura Girl" singing "Masuda girl", like "Masuda no youna kimi deshita" (lol). For the audience it was kinda weird but I don't mind (lol). To me PLAYZONE was a turning point, the song related to that memory is "It's bad". This time that song was danced by Tsubasa-kun, watching him I felt moved "It's that song!".
Idol - There are many guys of my age that would be embarrassed to be an idol but for me the life as "Masuda Takahisa the idol" is totally ok. Being an idol is funny and has charm. You have the bases of dancing and singing and you can face many other worlds like being a news caster, star in variety shows or plays. This wonderful job has no rivals!
In front of the girl I like - I think I'm more boring that usual. Generally I'd want to show to the girl I like my cool self so I would try to be cool. Though I'm not able to do that. That's why in the end my boring self it's ok...I guess that if the girl isn't very flexible it's not ok (lol).
"When I get praised" - Recently the occasions to meet all the members increased, for example during the meetings for the concerts, it's really funny. Until few time ago my ideas were all ignored like "Ok, the next?" though (lol). Now instead sometimes I get some "Interesting!". Eh? Also Shige said this? Really! Well, I'm a guy who can be good if he wants (lol). I was also very happy that all the members came to see Tegomasu's concert. That time Koyama couldn't come but there were Nakamaru-kun and Koki-kun too. Isn't that wonderful? It was. I felt like asking "Maybe my presence became important too?" (lol). I was really happy. And soon NEWS concerts! I already feel nervous.
Tegoshi
Actor - I love to prank people. In that meaning I'm totally an actor (lol). How many times I tricked someone? Too many. I've fall for it too though. Some time ago I was in a tv show. It was the birthday of some important celebrity and if I solved a quiz I could win a present for that celebrity, an abroad trip...something like this. The problem was that only the question for me was really difficult and I was in a pinch...then it was all a trick. When I knew I felt relieved. Watching the show I thought "How could I not notice it was a prank?" but in that moment I really didn't. I still didn't do anything to the members...Kei-chan must be really funny to prank though (lol). Also Ryo-kun must be interesting as target. Like, starting suddenly a big fight between the members and see how Ryo-kun would react to it...how? Will he try to calm down? I wanna see!

Idol - To be an idol at 100% you need concerts for sure! It's quite 2 years that NEWS don't have concerts so we have to do our best! This time both Osaka and Tokyo's gigs are in big places. We want to challenge many new things, please wait for us.
In front of the girl I like - If it's before I confessed I think that my hands would shake. I'd turn very much self-conscious so I guess it's also very easy to understand my feelings. I'd be very happy to be approached by that person. I think that I would confess also if I already know that I have no hopes. Who knows, maybe I can receive an unexpected ok? Then, in front of my girlfriend I'd devote myself completely. I want to be spoiled and I'd be hegoist so I need a very sweet girlfriend.
"Me during the concerts' preparation" - We're in the very middle of the recording but we're also deciding the schedule. The album title is LIVE so it's all connected to the concerts too, I think the contents will be very exciting. Then we'll have to prepare the choreographies. We'll repeat the old steps for the previous songs but we'll have to memorize the new ones. That is a little pinch too (lol).
Yamapi
Actor - I go pretty innocent. Firstly I read the script as I was the audience then I try to make mine the role I have to play. Very simple. I don't bring the script with me to the set. I put my lines inside my head before shooting, basically. When I have a role I try to bring him with me in my private life too. When I was filming "Ashita no Joe" I had so many things on me, really. I got angry very easily. I felt many many hormones and a lot of power in my blood.
Idol - I don't really understand what is being an idol and what is not, I only do what I think. But when I'm on the stage or doing a concert and I hear the fans' voices, I feel supported by those voices and I want to work harder. I forget everything, my everyday life too. When it's over I quite don't have memories of it, while I'm doing it it's like if I'm in a dream. If I don't feel this way I can't do it. I think that I become a completely different human being. I work only to make the fans happy. To me idols, artists or magicians are all the same.
In front of the girl I like - I'm gentle! I think that maybe doing like this I can make her happy...I think a lot about my partner. If I'm a gentleman? I never thought like this but I would totally help her to carry heavy baggages or stuff like this...I think it's just natural. Because even if I may be hegoist it's still a woman. I don't do too many mistakes but I'd still like to cover them a little with kindness. Since I've grown up covered by my mother's love I want to be able to do the same with my partner.
"Shige, me & Massu eating together" - It happened some time ago. We got italian food at the studios. I said "Of course we can't do anything but doing our best. Let's don't forget our resolutions and put all our efforts in it". I want everybody to feel like doing as more as possible. This is our opportunity to do it. If we don't succeed now we can't take it back. That's why we have to put ourselves in it. This is what I want to say to all of them. Shige and Massu listened to me responding those feelings. I thought that we all became adults, that was a really good day.
