Thanks for sharing your review af the book.
I wanted to buy it, but really my japanese is too basic to even try to read it, and I believe is fair to him to buy the book to read it, not keeping it as a fangirling item, because he wanted his book to be read.
So I hope some foreign publishing decide to pick it, being in english or spanish (sometime Spain takes a lot of japanese books more than Latin America) or really work hard with my japanese to be able to read it someday. And because of that, I won't read the plot yet. XD;;

Thank you!

Thank you for reading! Ganbatte for your study!
I agree with you, owning a book and not reading it is quite a waste ><

You're welcome ♥

First of all: thank you so much for writing this review!
I like how you write & reading this post about Shigeaki-sensei's talent is, like, a double enjoyment to me :)

I have wanted to order 'Pink & Gray', but I don't confide in the delivery services of my country that much, so I haven't. However, having read your opinion about the book, I thought I should take the risk.

I love books to the bits; not just reading, but buying them as well (in bookshops my brain turns off & I'm like 'BUY EVERYTHING!!' - it's very hard to control myself xD ) So when I get my copy, I'll become soo excited that my heart will sink, I'm pretty sure it will be like that :)

btw I decided not to read your post about the plot; otherwise I might die 'cause of despair xD Who knows, maybe one day I'll be able to read this book myself^^

Wow thank you for enjoying my post!

I think it worths the risk, even materialisticly speaking it's great work! Not only the cover is very pretty and detailed but also the inside pages and the rigid cover of the book are decorated and so so beautiful! It surely a satisfying purchase :DD

I love the inner cover (hardcover) It is beautiful!!! If I dare say, more so than the actual cover. (^^) I might go back to Singapore and get one for my Japanese teacher as a present!

"Somehow it was sweet, brilliant, sublime, hypnotic and beautiful, and then, kind of cruel..."
I got chills down my spine when I read that line. That line describes perfectly what he wants to tell about showbiz, doesn't it?
I am not good in words or English, let me just say Shige is a genius!!!
Thank you for this wonderful review. Serious yet fun review to read (:

Thank you very much for writing this review! I'm really interested in reading it, but I'm sure it'll take a while. I'm going to buy the book--even if my Japanese is very, very basic, at least that way I'm contributing to sales and it might help pick the interest of foreign publishers. It might take a long time for it to be published in a foreign language, so I might as well try to improve my Japanese in that time. XD

Thanks for this. Now at least I know what to expect from the book. I received my copy of Pink and Gray from cdjapan last week but could not read it. I'm learning Japanese and would still have a long way to go before I'll be able to read and understand the language. I can't wait to read and understand the book by myself.
