Massive amounts of fail.

So Dollhouse is cancelled.

I can't say I'm surprised. We were lucky to get a second season. To be honest the only thing I'll truly miss is seeing Olivia Williams on screen every week, because Adelle DeWitt was a badass. And Fran Kranz, I really grew to love him as well. Oh, and Enver. Truthfully, despite my love of all things Whedon, the thing I'll ( Read more... )

Booo! If any show deserves to be taken off the air, it's SV. Maybe the CW's standards are different? *rolls eyes* Obviously.

Do we know if FOX is going to air the eppies of Dollhouse they haven't aired yet? Or are they going to do the same thing they did with Firefly and just put them on the dvd set?

As far as I know Fox hasn't said anything new about the rest of the season. Earlier in the year they said they would air the whole second season, even though by that time it was pretty much a given that it was going to be cancelled. It would be nice if they did because I'd like to not have to wait for the dvd to come out to see the rest of the season.

Oh shoot. Yeah, I'm not surprised about Dollhouse either, although i will definitely miss it. It was nice having something fun to watch on Friday nights for the first time in ages. I think the only one I'll really miss is Fran Kranz. The rest of them were good, but he was so damned quirky. He always made me laugh.

Poor Joss. His shows are so good, but they just can't seem to find an audience.

I'm really going to miss Fran Kranz. Topher was such a great character and he really brought him to life.

Joss can't really catch a break when it comes to his shows, other than Buffy everything has been cancelled prematurely. I would say he needs to kiss Fox goodbye forever and try the CW again, since their expectations when it comes to ratings is dismally low anyway, but they've changed since the days of Buffy. CW definitely wouldn't embrace something thought provoking and a bit off the wall.

You know, I was thinking about this last night, and I'd love to see Joss do something on pay cable, like HBO or Showtime. He could go a lot darker, and do a lot of things he couldn't get away with on the regular networks. I'm not sure how much the ratings matter to those networks, but I have to think that they would give a show a better shot than FOX has given him.
