hmm, and to think i just put all my picture files BACK on windows picture viewer as default, stupid... thanks for the warning. I'm not having luck with computers right now.
Thanks.. This new virus thing looks bad, and without a patch, there's not much we can do accept what they say. Unfortunately, I have no idea what they are talking about, but I'll try to figure it out.
I think it's the same thing I heard about. Basically the bad guys have figured out how to embed malicious codes in picture thumbnail files (or something like that) There is not a patch yet, hopefully there will be soon. I don't know what kind of virus they use, but theoretically they could use any of them out there. My mom heard about it on the radio from this tech guy...he's got a fix or something on his site. I'll ask her about it in the morning and try to post the link here. Whatever that link is you got, I'd recommend not following it right now. Unless f-secure is your anti-virus program, the link doesn't look terribly legitimate to me.
I got worried when I read about that virus, and knowing not so much about stuff like that, I asked my love about it (he is very good with computers, builds his own, and stuff...). He'd heard about it to. And that I should download from Windows Update site... Nothing there, though. And make sure my antivirus program is up to date all the time! And now I don't know what to do about it really... More then checking that site every day. :-P Hopefully they will come up with a patch for it soon...
