Got to thank the award Fairy, again. Won one from BROKEN HEART (Tragedy, YAY!!! lol) and a bridesmaid award For effects for THE END. (and yes, I went sort of nutzoid on the effects. I almost reworked it cause it would be great with perfect clean footage, but that was a bitch to make and long, so umm...I'll leave it be..( Read more... )

I have mixed feelings about her. On the one hand, I think she genuinely likes Spike and thinks James is a wonderful actor, and I'd love for there to be some female involvement in any putative Spike movie (although I'd far prefer Jane E to her) simply because I think the female writers give a more nuanced portrait of the character when they know him. On the other hand, considering what she made him do, I wouldn't be at all surprised if James is very reluctant to be involved if she has any say in the story.

I know I don't trust her judgement and I'd be very surprised if he did.

Having said all which, it's very slightly encouraging that she's at least heard there might be a Spike movie.

I agree with womanly input whether RRK or Jane (Jane and her Spuffy heart) but I'm leery of Marti because of things that James has said.

First of all, congrats on the awards. Your videos are always so wonderful and thoughtful. Secondly, thank God Marti isn't going to be involved. She's a decent enough writer but I'm not at all fond of her view of Spike and her handling of Season Six. Like the above post, I would be pleased to see a woman involved with the proposed movie because I think his character needs some female input. Now if they could get Jane E...

I agree, and I'm not fond of Drew Goddard's writing of Spike, either.

I'm one of the odd cases that doesn't like Drew Goddard's Buffywriting in general. He's ok when he writes together with a better writer, but other than that...

Still think his best work was on 'Never leave me'

That is good about the awards. Also thankful that Martit will not be anywhere near Spike. I just don't trust her with him.

Yeah, James doesn't make you feel the love.

I can't wait to see Carrie Fisher. I loved her in Star Wars....

You are so mean to Marti....lol.....

But, I don't think they would need Marti to write the movie. I doubt James will ever do nude scenes as Spike....*sniffles*
