*coughs* and you might need this *coughs*

It's a brilliant program... fast and easy to use.
A big plus is that it lets you rip directly to .avi, mpeg, VCD, SVCD or DVD. It even lets you choose the quality.

Hope it's some help

Virtual Dub message... starsweetjunkie September 28 2005, 17:14:04 UTC
I found another way you might want to try. Unless your really hooked on the virtual dub thing. I just couldn't get it to work for me, and I couldn't get the audio to work at all. After I pick the clips I want with DVD Shrink and choose back up turning those into VOBs, I use a free program called IMtoo. With this I just have to select the VOB files created in DVD Shrink and tell it to convert them to AVI's (or whatever you want) It turns out really good clips with audio, no problem. The only glitch is that it's a trial program and will only record the first 5 minutes of a clip. But none of my clips are longer than 5 minutes, so it works for me. When it gives me the message that it's a trial program, I just click cancel and OK.

I'm sorry I couldn't help you with the Virtual Dub thing. If I come across an answer, I'll let you know. I finally got Season 2 of Buffy done this weekend. My little fingers are aching, lol.

Duh, guess it would be nice to give you the URL just in case you'd like to try the program. :D

Good luck. If I can help, let me know. :D

and this converts VOB files, cause I don't see them listed.

Okay, I tried this one first, because it goes with the Smart Ripper. It worked, but there's some pixellation. Anyway I can make the quality a bit better?

DIVX codec anonymous September 28 2005, 17:33:47 UTC
Also, I just thought. Did you download the DIVX Bundle pack or do you already have it installed on your computer? Because I had problems with any process until I got that. You need the codec to do this, I guess. I don't know much about 'puters either, so I thought that may help. :D
