Blogging. Whatever happened to that old chestnut? Well... The proverbial chestnut, in this case got pissed all over by that newfangled not as old concept of micro-blogging. Everyone got hooked on Twatter and Facef00k ( Read more... )

Hey, awesome to hear from you! :-D Glad things picked up following the unemployment of doom, I'd gathered about the wedding/course/new family addition from fb and (regrettably brief) conversation at Macabre, but it's still good to get some of the detail. I tend to find as well that when things go bad, there's little if any cover of it on fb which is a shame because it means we miss entire facets of our friends' lives as well as missing the depth of them.

Count me among the audience. :-)

Cheers :-)

Given all that has gone on in my life, I could've probably chatted to you for a good couple of hours at Macabre, just to cover my side ;-)

Though that it may be nice to put these events down in writing, with more detail and in chronological order. Agreed about the overty positive bias present on facebook. I don't think anyone realised that I was quite close to getting depression, during my unemployment. But I don't think it's something people discuss via that platform, mainly due to the lack of opportunity to elaborate on such sensitive subjects. My next post will contain a greater deal of positivity, as things improved after that stage.

I'll be passing on the idea of resurrecting LJ. FB is not sufficient to really let your friends know how you are, as our lives, experiences and moods can't merely be confined to a couple of sentences :-)

Yeah, it was one of those things at Macabre. Not enough time for a proper conversation, but too much to try and compartmentalise, so you end up saying not much at all. That was the way with me, anyway. Always good to jump around on a dancefloor with old friends, though. :-) Cool, looking forward to future posts.

Thanks for the update! Wow- that truely was detailed, which is great!

Where's Sharm-El-Sheik? I have never heard of fit :/

How is it possible to stay in another country when you are jobless? I thought you had to get a job to be allowed to move there (But then, i've never tried), is it different because you're married to a Danish citizen? Thats asuming Camilla is Danish- i've never actually met her!

A Yuletide baby-does this mean she'll get extra presents each year? Congrats :)

What job you doing now? I wanna know about your now life!

Welcome back- I hope you stay!

Ah, Paul has been on diving trip to Egypt a few times, well, he stays on the red sea for a week. He said that shopping there was irritating, too. Your hotel looks well lush! I havn’t written about our Japan trip as such- too much to write! But I did do a photo post last week (I think?) which outlines the main stuff. Needless to say, it was amazing! The place has showers for your bum in the loos and beer vending machines in the streets, whats not to like ( ... )
